Squarespace Tips and Tricks

Designing your own website, even in Squarespace,
can cause a few headaches. But in today’s video I’m going to give you
a few of my favorite tips and tricks to make your site look even better. First, let’s talk about arranging content
on your web site pages. You’ll notice as you move content blocks around,
you’ll see black guidelines and gray boxes appearing. You’ll want to try and drop the content when
you see black lines appearing because that’s going to tell your web site what order to
display the content on the mobile view. Next, always make sure to have your own favicon. You can upload your own under Design, and
then the Logo tab. If you don’t upload your own, Squarespace
will show the default favicon, which is just a boring black box. This next design change is very, very simple. Scroll down to the footer of your web site
and you will probably see some text that says “Powered by Squarespace”. You can actually remove this and I recommend
either putting your social links or your copyright information here instead. This last little trick has nothing to do with
design but it’s one of my favorite little secrets that many people do not know. If you ever need to log in to your web site,
go to your domain and then just press the escape key on your keyboard and the login
screen will appear. I hope you enjoyed these tips and tricks. If you learn something new or if you have
questions, let me know down in the comments below, and if you enjoyed this video, make
sure to hit “like”, subscribe, and share with your friends.
